Her photographs have appeared in The New York Times, Newsweek, and as far away as Tokyo to Paris. She picked up a camera in 1978 and has not put it down since. Jane’s vision is strong and she never stops thinking, looking, analyzing. With ease and familiarity Jane works to achieve the most from her subjects. Her goal with each project is to create a visual and emotional connection each and every time. Jane attended Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where pushing back the wall adds a twist to her photographs. Whether she is working on Documentary, Editorial, Fine Art or Portraits, her photographs are thought provoking and intelligent. Painting with light; capturing an expression, a sense of being, painting a moment, a dance of life. These moments happen on the front lines, down a runway, in the back alleys of Cite Soleil, during a stakeout and when one allows, the mind when it wanders. Her photos are to be used for people to see. They are here to change an opinion, to reach a conclusion, to begin a question. Jane loves life and the people in it, their philosophy, their reason for being and the way it is communicated through their eyes. She has produced, written and photographed feature photo stories.
Her work is mostly done on location where she has traveled throughout Europe, Mexico and the US. She brings to her photographs the truth, that we as a people, have the same common thread running through the marrow of our bones. We as human beings, have a full sense of just wanting to BE. Jane is available for assignments.
